NetEnt Extends New Jersey Footprint with Churchill Downs Deal
Swedish casino games developer NetEnt continues to grow in New Jersey and has signed a customer agreement with the largest online betting operator onshore for horseracing in the United States.
Under the terms of the agreement, NetEnt will supply its full suite of award-winning online casino games to Churchill Downs for the regulated online casino market in New Jersey.

NetEnt had to take some action after the poor revenue growth in the UK in the second quarter 2018 when revenue was up only 6% year-on-year to $49.2 million and earnings before tax growing only by a modest 1.2%.
Then newly appointed CEO Therese Hillman, couldn’t be too confident about the revenue outlook towards the end of 2018 but NetEnt had to pursue opportunities in other markets. NetEnt partnered with TOP sport, domestic operator in Lithuania, to launch for the first time in the country with more future deals to come in Lithuanian regulated market and also applied for license in Pennsylvania where regulated online gaming should be live before the end of the year.
The deal with Churchill Downs will further strengthen NetEnt’s presence in New Jersey market, where they have already partnered with Borgata Hotel Casino &Spa, Hard Rock Atlantic City and Tropicana.

Adding NetEnt games to its portfolio will definitely be a game-changer to growth in online casino for Churchill Downs.
The company has recently made deals with SB Tech and Golden Nugget to launch online services in New Jersey and they are targeting the first quarter 2019 to begin accepting legal wagers for sports betting and online gaming in the country.
