888 Appoints Pazner as New CEO
888 Holding’s chief executive officer Itai Frieberger has stepped down with immediate effect and chief operating officer Itai Pazner has been promoted to CEO as the company announced.
Frieberger Stepping Down
Frieberger is handing on the crown to Pazner after 14 years with the company. During this time he performed in various roles and functions. He spent eight years acting as COO, executive director and then CEO from March 2016.
Frieberger will now remain with the business as a director for 12 months in order to ensure the smooth transition. During that time he will support the transition of responsibilities to Pazner and finish the work on several ongoing strategic initiatives. Stepping down was a tough decision for him but the right one.
He felt it was the right timing to move from the day-to-day running of the business and he supports Pazner as his successor.
“I believe that 888 today is one of the most diversified operators across products and regulated markets in the global online gaming industry,” Frieberger continued.
“Itai Pazner is a fantastic operator with a tremendous passion for innovation, product development and the customer experience; I know we share the same approach, values and vision for the business. In my new role I will remain on the Board to support Itai by leveraging my relationships and supporting the progress of a number of exciting strategic initiatives that are already underway. I have no doubts that ItaiPazner is the right person to lead 888 through the next exciting chapters of the Group’s growth.”
He is proud of what 888 has become despite the changes in the global gaming industry in recent years which proves their strength and outstanding technology.
Pazner to Replace Frieberger
Pazner is deemed a perfect heir for Frieberger since he spent 17 years with the online gaming operator, rising through ranks to become COO in 2017.
Before that, he served as senior vice-president and head of B2C for six years. During that time, he oversaw the development of 888’s various customer-facing brands, as well as having oversight of the operator’s marketing, customer support functions and operations so he possesses an in-depth and widespread understanding of both 888 and the online gaming industry. Pazner is honoured to become the new CEO and to continue Frieberger’s effort to lead the company forward.
