Internationally renowned casino games developer Betsoft Gaming has recently received approval from the European country’s National Gambling Office. Malta-based iGaming giant is now set to launch its games in the regulated Romanian iGaming market. Romanian market is now the third one for Betsoft to expand to, after regulated markets in Denmark and Italy.
The supplier has been granted the Class II licence which will allow it to offer operator partners its full suite of online games, including HTML 5-native titles from the famous Slots3 series, but also casino manager back office and support solutions.
Betsoft account management director Julian Camilleri has said that they at Betsoft Gaming are extremely happy to have earned the “opportunity to provide our games and platforms to such an exciting market, at the right time in its evolution”. Camilleri has also commented on the dramatic growth of the Romanian market that has been taking place since 2016, and which has been spurred by clearer guidelines and better structures for player protection.
Camilleri has also addressed the matter of arriving at the Romanian market at this point and said that the timing is perfect.
“While other providers rushed in early, we now believe the time is right for an educated player base to engage with our cutting-edge content, and for mature operators to truly benefit from our proven platforms.”
Betsoft account manager Matt Avison has commented on the internationalisation as being one of the cornerstones of the company’s strategy for the near future. The developer has been working over the last twelve months on expanding to multinational markets and it has laid the foundations for further growth, both at home and abroad.
Avison has explained that Betsoft Gaming creates games with “universal themes and intuitive gameplay mechanics”, but that their library is expansive enough for operators in individual regions to prioritise certain themes or features for their own markets.
He has ended his speech with a bang by saying that Betsoft’s objective is simple: they plan on making the “strongest possible entries into the right jurisdictions and to, therefore, be recognised for their signature style of cinematic gaming”.
