One of the world’s leading online gaming and entertainment solutions providers, 888 has proudly announced the appointment of Andrew Anthony as its new Responsible Gaming Director who will enhance the company’s customer protection protocols.
Anthony has been working with 888 for 15 years and held various roles including heading up the Finance Compliance and Applications Unit. He is excited to take on the new role at the very centre of how 888 operates where he can share ideas and promote the best initiatives with both colleagues and stakeholders. He is fully committed to developing safe gambling initiatives and improving 888’s standards.
“During the course of his career at 888, Andrew has gained numerous insights into the behaviour of the Company’s player base. In addition to this, he brings a wealth of quantitative experience and methodology to his new role heading up our Responsible Gaming team,” said Yaniv Schwartz, SVP Customer Risk Management.
“888 strives to ensure that those for whom our games are not intended will not be drawn into the gaming environment and that those customers who develop a gambling problem are quickly identified and helped. I am looking forward to the successful delivery of the responsible gaming initiatives we have planned and continuing to drive Responsible Gaming culture throughout the organization.”
Andrew Anthony will lead the 888’s highly experienced Responsible Gaming team and oversee the continuous improvement of the company’s responsible gaming operations, systems and processes to further enhance customer protection, reporting to Senior Vice President and Head of Customer Risk Management, Yaniv Schwartz.
888’ Responsible Gaming team works with the company’s in-house player behaviour monitoring tool called Observer.
The Observer is at the centre of the team’s responsible gaming strategy as it flags unusual or concerning activity to the team, which is then tasked with deciding the most appropriate way to interact with that customer. In addition to managing the team, Anthony will also collaborate with industry stakeholder groups and regulatory bodies to develop safer gambling initiatives and improve industry standards.
