888 Holdings has collected its “missing piece” by acquiring BetBright sports betting platform for £15 million.
As of March 2019, the acclaimed online gambling firm is the owner of the technology and product development across the four key online betting verticals – casino, sport, poker and bingo.
Launched in 2013, BetBright set a clear vision of targeting markets in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Aiming to please the clientele within these markets, 888 will soon have the platform integrated into its proprietary gaming backend.
Thriving to boost its long-term prospects in the global sports betting market, the 888 Board wants the Group to fully utilise its marketing and analytics capabilities and one of a kind knowledge and expertise. Upon signing the agreement, it was declared by 888 that the fee for the acquisition totaled £15 million. Part of the deal is also BetBright’s Dublin office, which will later on be integrated into the 888 Group. The idea is to roll out 888’s enhanced sportsbook with joined forces.
Itai Pazner, Chief Executive of 888, stated, “This acquisition of a high-quality and scalable sportsbook is an exciting milestone for 888.” Pazner was the one who called the obtaining of the platform finding 888’s “missing puzzle piece” to perfect its “proprietary product and technology portfolio”.
Praised for quality and innovation, the BetBright platform was developed by a spectacular team of experts. 888 deems that the acquisition will reinforce the company’s presence in the sports betting circles, and is thrilled to welcome the platform into the Group. Aiming to become the absolute leader in all segments of online gambling, 888 has successfully completed this third acquisition in the past couple of months.
As 888 is becoming a progressively popular and established destination for worldwide sports betting, according to Pazner, it is time that 888 took ownership of its full sports betting proposition.
“We are confident that this acquisition will increase the Group’s long-term prospects and differentiation in the growing global sports betting market,” 888 CEO rounded up his speech.
