William Hill continues to expand its influence in the market of Nevada by reaching an agreement to operate the race and sportsbook at M Resort Spa Casino. The Henderson-based casino is owned by Penn National Gaming Inc.

It is expected Will Hill will become fully operational in May, as they are still awaiting regulatory approval.

This deal brings William Hill to the top of the market in the state of  Nevada as they will now have control over 115 sportsbooks. The Wyomissing-based Penn National Gaming is already collaborating with London-based operator on projects that include risk management services and sports betting technology in Mississippi, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Officials from Penn National expressed their excitement over their teaming up upon the deal announcement.

This move is a part of William Hill’s expansion strategy designed for the USA market.

They already own and operate a row of sportsbooks in all the 7 states that have regulated gambling, and plan to grow even further.

The British sportsbook expert has slowly begun the transition from the UK market to other markets due to fundamental changes that have occurred in the UK during 2018. The changes were a harsh blow which led to a severe drop in revenue as the UK government reduced the maximum stake on FOBT machines from £100 to just £2.

They got back on their feet by finalizing the deal for the acquisition of MRG which owns Mr Green, one of the top casino operators in the industry.

This granted William Hill access to a fresh batch of markets as MRG operates in 13 different areas including Denmark and Italy.  However, the consequences of the FOBT stakes reduction are yet to be felt.
