Danske Spil, the Danish national lottery, has gone live on the Microgaming Bingo Network following a change to its license conditions which allows the operator to offer bingo play outside the country.
Denmark’s national lottery firm was awarded the new license by the Danish Regulatory Authority, Spillemyndigheden, which permits the lottery to operate network rooms that are accessible to players outside Denmark. Moving to Microgaming’s Bingo Network was completed on 7 March and Danske Spil is now able to increase player liquidity with access to more games and bigger jackpots.
Danske Spil had to seize this opportunity, ensure further growth and maintain its position as a market leader. It is crucial to have a strong, competitive bingo product they will continue to develop in collaboration with Microgaming.
Jean-Luc Ferriere, Director of Network Games at Microgaming, commented the deal with great content.
“We welcome Danske Spil to the Microgaming Bingo Network with arms wide open. This is a major development for all concerned. It’s early days yet but already the signs are very positive for Danske Spil and its players.”
Back in 2013, Danske Spil signed an agreement with Prima Networks Limited, powered by Microgaming, in conjunction with Betware.
Under the terms of the agreement, Betware delivered Microgaming’s suite of bingo and instant predetermined games to Danke Spil. Games were optimized for different platforms to allow Danish players to enjoy them on all devices. This was the right choice to help create new, exciting experiences for the customers and strengthen the lottery’s already impressive position on the market.
Now that bingo has liberalized in Denmark and with this deal with Microgaming, Danske Spil will only affirm its position and increase player liquidity.
