Evolution Gaming won the prestigious Online Supplier of the year at the Global Gaming Awards which took place in London on 4 February.
GGA was designed to celebrate ”the leading companies and most dynamic individuals to have made their mark in the global gaming industry over the past year” across 16 categories and the 50-member panel of judges had a really difficult task this year, choosing the best of the best.
The Global Gaming Awards 2019 is powered by Gambling Insider. The event is held twice a year as a way to honour the best in the industry. One event takes place in London and the other in Las Vegas. The London version focuses on international markets and honours the best across various categories and gaming verticals. It traditionally welcomes online gaming experts and executives from all around the world.
Nominees were considered in 16 categories and each of the 50-panel members had to submit their first and second choices in each category. The auditing firm KMPG oversaw the entire process and the long-awaited winners were announced on the ceremony held prior to the ICE Totally Gaming on 4 February.
Many well-known names were among the winners such as LeoVegas, Mr Green, Bet365, Novomatic, Kindred and GVC, while Evolution Gaming won the Online Casino Supplier of the Year award.
At the end of the gala night at the Hippodrome Casino in London, Evolution took home the Online Casino Supplier of the year for its operational excellence showcased in the past 12 months.
The leading provider of Live Casino solutions beat nine other shortlisted companies including Microgaming, Greentube, NetEnt, Red Tiger Gaming, SG Digital, Realistic Games, Pragmatic Play, BBIN and Asia Live Tech.
Evolution’s CEO Martin Carlesund expressed their excitement about the award.
“The past 12 months have seen some landmark product launches from Evolution, with the runway success of Lightning Roulette, the launch of our First Person range of games, plus three new studios opening worldwide. Winning this award on the eve of ICE, where we will unveil ten new games, is very exciting for us as a company.”
Carlesund also underlined the fact they will continue to push boundaries and enrich their offering in order to provide their operators with the next generation of Live Casino games.
Last year, Evolution lost this prestigious prize to NetEnt but in the past year, they’ve stepped up their game. Not only have they launched several amazing games but they also opened a couple new studios and forged several important partnerships.
