IGT Accepts Award for Diversity at Pride of Gaming Awards 2019
Award-winning game and software solutions provider IGT has added yet another prestigious accolade to its immense collection. This time, the provider took home the award for workplace diversity and inclusivity. IGT received the award at CasinoBeats Pride of Gaming Awards in September.
Recognition for Hard Work
As it was announced, the award went to IGT for its significant work and effort to improve workplace ethics and diversity. That was evident both in overall company operations as well as the new council that IGT formed. The company recently introduced the Global Diversity and Inclusion Council. The Council aims to enable its employees “a fair, inclusive culture that enables all employees to feel valued, respected, and engaged.”
The Awards ceremony took place at the Natural History Museum in London. The ceremony aims to celebrate all individuals and companies that poured hard work into raising awareness and promoting the good name of casino gaming. The event coincided with CBC’s Hall of Fame ceremony mid-September.
A Grand Milestone
The Managing Director of CasinoBeats Stewart Darkin released a statement in which he praised the famous recipient. “When one of the world’s largest gaming companies makes a commitment to improving diversity and inclusivity in the workplace, it sends a strong message to the industry and the wider marketplace about the central importance of this objective”, Darkin explained. He congratulated IGT on its leadership in developing a welcoming environment where all employees are valued.
