Global gaming technology leader International Game Technology (IGT) has inked a new deal with FanDuel Group.

IGT announced it will be FanDuel’s sports betting platform provider for the newly regulated U.S. market in the state of New Jersey. FanDuel Group parent company Paddy Power Betfair‘s pricing, trading, and risk management capabilities have also been integrated into the IGT platform.

About the Agreement

This agreement will bring together the technological expertise in U.S. sports betting of the largest B2B gaming company in the world IGT with one of the largest sports gaming companies in the U.S. FanDuel Group.

Both companies will benefit greatly from this deal and gamblers can from now on place sports bets over the counter at the FunDuel Sportsbook using IGT technology.

FanDuel will initially deploy the platform at Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, New Jersey and gradually offer other types of betting options including self-service kiosks as well as online and mobile wagering. The FanDuel Sportsbook opened at Meadowlands Racetrack on Saturday, just days after the company’s acquisition by Paddy Betfair’s division was finished. FanDuel Group was established earlier this month after Paddy Power Betfair acquired 61% of FanDuel.

The group has a portfolio of brands including FanDuel, TVG, Betfair Casino and DRAFT. This launch of the Sportsbook is the confirmation that FanDuel name will be the company’s primary brand in the U.S. The 5,300-square-foot sportsbook features 10 betting windows, 27 big-screen TVs, and space for 490 people. It will expand to 15 betting windows, 65 big-screen TVs and space for 650 by the start of this year’s NFL season in early September.

Satisfying Customer Needs

With sports betting continuously evolving in the U.S., IGT strives to find proven solutions and technologies to satisfy customers’ needs for advanced sport betting both on land-based and mobile platforms.

“We are delighted to choose IGT’s leading platform for our sports betting platform in New Jersey, starting with the recent ‘go live’ at the Meadowlands Racetrack,” said Matt King, FanDuel Group CEO.

“When we evaluated sports betting platform provider partners in the U.S., IGT was the ideal choice, based on the company’s proven history in the space and the quality, reliability and flexibility of the sports betting technology that it has deployed for customers around the world.”

Last month IGT scored a partnership deal to provide its sports betting platform to MGM Resorts International in New Jersey which proves their determination to deploy its technology to customers around the world.
