Following a competitive procurement, International Game Technology (IGT) has signed a seven-year contract with the South Dakota Lottery through its subsidiary IGT Global Solutions.
IGT has been providing technology and equipment for South Dakota Lottery since 2009.
The new contract is expected to commence on 3 November this year and IGT will provide Lottery with a wide array of products including an updated lottery central system, several of its business intelligence tools, new point-of-sale and self-service lottery terminals, ongoing maintenance and retailer training.
Upgraded lottery system contains components of IGT’s Aurora platform including Aurora Instants Processing System, Aurora Retailer Manager and Aurora Claims and Payments Manager. Several BizApps are also included in the contract like Retailer Wizard, Order Wizard and Performance Wizard.
All of these applications will help Lottery to drive profitable growth and manage business more profitably and at the same time support lottery retailers. The new contract allows for an additional 8 extension years. South Dakota Lottery will also be able to use IGT’s iSpeak customized training programme in order to educate Lottery Sales Representatives about the new tools.
“These products will provide greater insight into player behavior to help the Lottery continue to deliver exciting games and content that players want.” said IGT Chief Operating Officer, Lottery, Jay Gendron who is pleased with the deal that will help Lottery evolve, manage and grow in the future.
South Dakota Lottery Executive Director Norm Lingle said the state lottery has delivered “more than $2.82 billion to education, developing natural resources, and providing problem gaming treatment services since 1987.”
“We look forward to continuing our relationship with IGT to generate even more funds for these important causes in our state throughout the next seven years,” Lingle said.
