Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas is going strong. A plethora of providers, operators, developers, and mortal spectators flocked to the epicentre of gaming this week. International Gaming Technology (IGT) is also there, but not as a spectator – the provider has new products to present! The 2019 Expo is where we get to meet the Peak Cabinets, a new line of casino gaming hardware.
The first product that IGT is presenting is the PeakSlant 49. It features a 49-inch HD display, 13.3-inch game panel, and a wireless charging port. The game library for PeakSlant 49 includes Scarab Link. The “PeakSlant 49 with Wheel” is the version of the cabinet which pairs up with Wheel of Fortune game series. Visitors will be able to see the new PeakBarTop as well.
Other inventions that IGT is to present include a range of ground-breaking game themes across the video slot, stepper, and multi-level progressive segments. Some of the titles included are the Asian-themed “Fu Gui Long Feng” and “Dragon Lights”.
As Renato Ascoli, IGT’s CEO in North America said, the focus of IGT is strictly on the player. However, as the company aims to improve playing conditions, the focus extends to new hardware introductions with new content. The content is “designed to engage and delight”, as the CEO explained, “and innovative technologies simplify the player experience”.
The event is one of the most coveted events in the entire industry. Each year, we witness a number of technological innovations in the gaming sector. This year, things promise to heat up – as IGT breaks out new cabinets and content, others prepare to do the same. Novomatic America is said to bring forward game mixes, progressive jackpots, and a number of sports betting kiosks. Most of the new content targets exclusively the American market. On the other hand, Playtech promised to turn the temperature up with its new Playtech ONE omni-channel suite of gaming solutions.
