International Game Technology, also known as IGT, has announced a brand-new partnership which pushes the envelope in terms of iGaming content creation. Namely, the leading iGaming powerhouse has signed a 10-year licencing agreement with Sony Pictures Television. The new deal grants IGT exclusive rights to Wheel of Fortune, a famous brand that IGT can now use across several gaming, iGaming, lottery, and iLottery verticals.

10 Years vs a Lifetime

Great news for Wheel of Fortune fans worldwide – Sony Pictures and Television just granted exclusive rights to IGT for Wheel of Fortune gaming, iGaming, lottery, and iLottery branding, meaning IGT can now continue offering it to its customers in various forms, genres, and themes!

IGT has also gained non-exclusive rights (meaning others can do this as well) to offer Wheel of Fortune content at social casinos in free-to-play formats.

The shiny new deal officially goes live on January 1st, 2025, and will run until the last day of 2034. Renato Ascoli, IGT Global Gaming CEO highlighted the importance of this deal as it helps IGT ‘maximize the returns of this licencing partnership’ and advance the legacy of Wheel of Fortune games. As a reminder, Wheel of Fortune content has garnered quite a demand at IGT casinos and produced some awe-inspiring jackpots so far.

The two brands have been partners for a quarter of a century, and throughout the years, together have produced some o fthe most successful games iGaming has ever seen. Some have also earned the title of ‘industry standard for innovation’, which is no small feat in such a competitive market.

Both Parties Happy

On the other side of the table sits Suzanne Prete, Executive Vice President of Game Shows at Sony Pictures Television. She emphasized the shared commitment of both parties to ‘applying the Wheel of Fortune brand in ingenious ways’,  and there is no doubt they will continue doing so in the years to come.

So far, Wheel of Fortune slots by IGT have produced over 3.5 billion USD in jackpots, with over 1100 players winning over $1,000,000 in prizes.

It is not yet certain what kind of content we can expect to see from IGT in the future, but it is certain – it is going to be big and spectacular. Stay tuned for more news and updates from BestCasinos.
