King of mobile gaming – LeoVegas Casino – has officially launched a brand-new sports betting brand called betUK.
It was in January 2018 that LeoVegas Group acquired several online casino brands in a £65 million deal agreed with Intellectual Property & Software Ltd which included BetUK.com and 21co.uk among others.
The company said on Wednesday that BetUK betting brand has gone through a formal relaunch as LeoVegas Group aims channel a significant part of its resources in making sports betting a primary focus through its recently acquired properties.
LeoVegas has recently launched its sportsbook 2.0 which is now also powering the new BetUK brand.
The company has set its sights on further exploring the UK market and pushing the boundaries in one of the largest gaming landscapes in the world by creating additional brands that would be of appeal to different customer types and targets.
“BetUK.com is a premium domain with a very strong link profile that ranks high on Google and other search engines. It is a very exciting move, and I am convinced that it will be a success with strong and sustainable growth.”, Gustaf Hagman, LeoVegas Group CEO, commented.
The Swedish gaming operator has already taken firm steps to bolster its UK position through a recently announced deal with Aspers Casino in London. What’s more, the company also partnered with SBTech, a provider chosen to deal with LeoVegas subsidiary Rocket X for a number of other UK-oriented websites.
And finally, with a view towards further expansion into the sports betting universe, LeoVegas applied to a casino and sports betting license in the company’s native Sweden, hoping to make an epic return home which should allow the company to reach its revenue mark of €600 million by 2020.
