Merkur Gaming Appoints Matjaz Petek as New Senior Sales Manager International

Germany’s leading online gaming manufacturer Merkur Gaming has announced an important change in its headquarters.

Namely, the post of the new senior sales manager international will be taken over by Matjaz Petek. The 46-year-old iGaming expert originating from Slovenia will take responsibility for the markets in Southern and Eastern Europe.

Petek’s Background and History in the Industry

Matjaz Petek had had an experience in the business for over 25 years before this proposal from Merkur Gaming came.

Before the signing of the deal, Petek had worked for a number of the world’s most reputable and globally active iGaming companies. He took up managerial positions in marketing and sales such as Gaming Operations and Sales Manager at International Game Technology (IGT), Gtech and Alfastreet.

On the successful contract, Petek had to say the following, “I’m really impressed by the broad product portfolio of Merkur Gaming and look forward to supporting the team with my skills and experience in the future.”

He is evidently happy to be working with the forward-thinking team behind the name of Merkur Gaming. To wrap up his speech, Petek highlighted the magnitude of the Gauselmann Group (who owns the brand Merkur Gaming), naming it “one of the biggest players in the gaming industry”.
