Since 22nd May 2018, when Therese Hillmann was appointed new Chief Executive Officer, the company has been searching for the right person to take over the very responsible position of NetEnt’s CFO.

Starting on 3rd September 2018, Mr. Johansson is proudly assuming the post.

About Lars Johansson

It goes without saying that Mr. Johansson comes with a wealthy background of copious experience in the field of iGaming, contributing to diverse sectors of the industry.

Most recently NetEnt’s new CFO was working for Ratos as senior investment director, and his previous title was acting CEO. Encompassing various skills and experiences, Mr. Johansson also functioned as CFO at Swedish airport company Swedavia, and CFO/COO (Chief Operating Officer) at TV4 Group.

In addition, he held the position of CFO, COO, as well as acting CEO of Orc Software, company owned by Itiviti Group Holding AB, a firm listed on the Stockholm Exchange just a few years after its establishment.

An Odd Strategy that Seems to Work

Let us remind ourselves – NetEnt has been undertaking some strategic moves that surprised some in the industry.

The firm went through a mild decline that came as a shock when the year-on-year results were released. In the meantime, a number of field specialists chimed in to comment on this being NetEnt’s dedication on long-term positive results and taking some risks for the greater good.

The step taken with Mr. Johansson is certainly one that will pave the path to future successes.
