NetEnt Goes Live in New Jersey
Challenging times may be ahead for NetEnt, yet, this industry veteran is far from backing down and admitting defeat – with the new CEO in charge (Therese Hillman), the developer has conquered another market and gone live with their slot games in the recently launched Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City.
The platform for the developer’s games will be provided by GAN, a B2B iGaming software supplier founded in 2002 and focused on the USA market – after the integration is completed, the visitors of the casino will have full access to the entire NetEnt’s opus, including the developer’s Free Spins offer.
According to the official statement, the selection of games will expand over time, adding new titles to the currently featured releases.
Small Step or a Giant Leap?
This is only the beginning of NetEnt’s American dream – a similar integration deal has been made with Hard Rock Atlantic City and the company is definitely giving everything they got to keep their head above the water after the last year’s turmoil and plummeting earnings.
Due to the disappointing financial reports and 3.9% decline in profits, Per Eriksson was asked to step down from his position as the Chief Executive Officer and the steering wheel has been taken over by Hillman, who held the same post with Gymgrossisten Sweden AB (2011 – 2016).
More Hard Work Ahead…
The managerial restructuring (the chairman Vigo Carlund has also left NetEnt and Fredrik Erbing has taken his place) seems to have breathed some life into the company, however, implementing the current growth strategy will not be the end of the provider’s journey to recovery.
With the latest trends and ongoing industry evolution, new markets and strategies for growth will have to be explored but judging by the recent events, Hillman is clearly aware of the fierce competition and more than ready to fight it.
