Gaming technology giant, Playtech, has teamed up with Buzz Bingo, backed by Caledonia Investments, to deliver an innovative content delivery and CRM solution across both bingo and casino, by integrating their IMS player management platform.
Gala Leisure, the UK’s biggest bingo operator, has rebranded its 103 clubs to Buzz Bingo that started its operation in May. The rebranding followed the sale of Ladbrokes Coral’s retail clubs to Caledonia Investments, and with 103 clubs rebranded, the operator brought in Playtech to serve as its platform and content provider for bingo and slots.
The remaining 19 clubs are set for re-opening in February 2019 under the new name and thus completing the rebrand.
“Like our clubs, buzzbingo.com is all about community,” explained Buzz Bingo digital director Stevie Shaves. “We spent over a year ensuring our online offering is exactly what players want. We’ve captured the in club feeling of being among friends and delivered it online.”
“When players log in to buzzbingo.com, they see where their ‘Buzz Buddies’ are playing and can join their game in seconds. This seamless process truly encompasses what we are all about as a brand.”
BuzzBingo offers more than 100 slot games both online and in clubs and also have seven exclusive games in its offering. They include smaller and more frequently won jackpots but also progressive jackpot games totalling over $9 million.
Playtech has been with Buzz Bingo brand since the beginning through this strategic partnership. The agreement allows customers to access Playtech ONE omnichannel content through a single account and wallet.
Playtech’s new Engagement 360platform gives Buzz Bingo the power to design and fully optimize the end-to-end player experience. Using Playtech’s IMS player management system, which supports real-time player engagement and data-driven CRM, the deal also includes access to Playtech’s bingo and slot games on its handheld Electronic Bingo Terminals in Buzz Bingo clubs.
The launch of Buzz Bingo platform is the most ambitious project Playtech team has delivered and they truly believe that this will be a long-term and successful collaboration.
Also, the integration with the Playtech Open Platform gives Bingo Buzz access to a staggering range of both original and third-party game content so Buzz Bingo users can choose from one of the industry’s widest selection of Bingo variants and Casino slot games.
The next step is the synchronization of Buzz Bingo’s retail and online offering to create an omnichannel experience. The players will be able to use their retail accounts to play online and vice versa, using a single wallet for all channels.
“A huge amount of work has gone into delivering a comprehensive ‘day one’ experience, including a rich third-party games offering, from both a Bingo and Casino perspective” Shimon Akad, Chief Operating Officer at Playtech, commented the deal.
“With further technical enhancements to come and with a series of major third-party content providers already on board, we’re confident that this is the beginning of a long and fruitful relationship with Buzz Bingo.”
