Playtech BGT Terminals Go Live at Caliente in Mexico
Playtech BGT has been for months now contemplating new deals and it seems to have put its finger on Mexico’s best Corporación Caliente, popular gambling operator that has already been a part of a serious casino deal with NetEnt.
As far as the partnership with Playtech BGT goes, the operator will be granted with the supplier’s systems and terminals with the aim of upgrading its entire sports betting provisions.
Corporación Caliente is a subsidiary of Grupo Codere España and has proudly been under the strong influence of the biggest names of iGaming of late. Under the terms of the contract, Mexico’s dominant gambling enterprise will have Playtech BGT’s Self-Service Betting Terminals (SSBTs) launched across its estates and premises.
Enhanced Relationship
Isle of Man based developer has been Caliente’s lead casino systems supplier since the year 2014, but the new contract sees the collaboration to expand its omnichannel dynamics by adding sports betting services to the mixture and Caliente’s inventory.
Armin Sageder, CEO, Playtech BGT Sports, has commented on the successful expansion of the cooperation. “Our partnership with Caliente has gone from strength to strength and we continue to experience significant growth.” Sageder has also added that the extension of the partnership into Retail shows the success they had achieved together to date and that many new opportunities lie ahead. Lastly, Mexico seems to be the firm’s next target market, being a strategically important territory for the developer.
Firstly, Playtech’s SSBT roll-out will cover a dozen Caliente casino properties, reflecting an expansion to Latin America for the FTSE technology group. Regarding Playtech’s expansion scheme and the expanded contract, Victor De La Fuente, Business Development Director at Caliente, has said that this is the perfect timing for such a strategy.
“We are continually looking for ways to improve customer engagement and this represents the latest development as part of this strategy.”
