Leadership changes are about to take place at the GiG headquarters. Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) is about to face some significant headquarters alterations.
The Malta-based iGaming giant is seeing its co-founder Robin Reed resign this September. The man was the group’s chief executive for over 10 years.
The B2B gaming operator will welcome Richard Brown as its new acting CEO.
The modifications in the leadership occurred on the 5th of September 2019. Aside from the change, Petter Nylander will take up a more active role in the business. This includes both strategic and operational moves. The management team needs support and aid, and that will exactly be Nylander’s task.
Nylander stated that Reed had played an essential role in building the unique group GiG had become. GiG is a massive technology provider nowadays, and Reed is much to thank for.
On the other hand, Nylander emphasised the importance of moving forward. Namely, the Oslo-listed casino supplier is entering a new phase of its development. It has various challenges before itself. Consequently, the board accordingly decided that a leadership change was much needed.
“I and the board have full confidence in the chief operating officer, Richard Brown,” Nylander added. With the skilled management team, there is no way to go but forward.
For the time being, the company continues the search for a permanent CEO. With the same strategy, GiG carries on swapping offline brands onto online ones. Such examples are SkyCity and Hard Rock.
“We are focusing on securing potential contracts within the B2B Platform services,” Nylander said. The company will also focus on developing the Media services and the sportsbook. Lastly, it will continue “driving the B2C Gaming operators with a focus on growth in new markets.”
