Scientific Games Scoops Social Responsibility Awards
Premium gaming solutions provider – and as of recently a proud owner of NYX Gaming Group – Scientific Games Corporation has been honoured with two 2018 Communitas Awards as a recognition for company’s efforts in social sphere or life.

The international Communitas Awards pay tribute to standout businesses, organisations and individuals who are committed to changing the way they lead and perform their business in relation to their employees, local communities and the overall living environment.
Inspired by the vision of a better world, the Communitas Awards encourage volunteerism, investment and ethical, sustainable practices in business.
Scientific Games scooped two different awards in the 2018 edition of the Communitas Awards – excellence in corporate social responsibility for ethical and environmental sustainability and for community service.
President and CEO of Scientific Games, Kevin Sheehan, did not hide excitement over the two highly coveted awards which come as a reward for the company’s continuos efforts to better the local community and entire planet by supporting programs and policies in the areas of corporate governance, responsible gaming, diversity, inclusion and other.
SG Excellence Rewarded
The Excellence in Ethical and Environmental Responsibility Award was presented to Scientific Games in the ‘Green Initiatives’ category which recognised the company’s proactive effortst o mitigate impact on the environment through reduction of air and water pollution, waste to landfill and energy use in its 207 global offices and facilities across 25 different countries.
The Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility Award in the ‘Making a Difference’ category came as a result of Scientific Gaming’s humanitarian relief effort in September 2017 when the company sent aid to Puerto Rico after successive devastating hurricanes which tore the US island.
An action led by the company’s employees saw more than 32 tons of water and supplies being airlifted and shipped, plus additional $90,000 to help Puerto Rico recover from the tragedy.
