SG Digital Opens Development Centre in Poland
Scientific Games Corporation, Nasdaq-listed technology provider, has announced its plans to open a “remote development centre” in Krakow, Poland until the end of the first quarter of 2018.
The centre will drive the division’s newly formed group – SC Digital – in terms of growth in digital gaming, lottery and sport betting.
The new centre is planned to be staffed with more than 100 new product-focused employees by the end of the year. The company will soon start recruiting staff for various positions including quality assurance, core software development and product innovation.
Judging by SG Digital’s opinion and experience, Poland has a fantastic reputation when it comes to tech personnel and therefore is a perfect place for opening new hub. They have well-trained, high-energy talent pool of people that have extensive industry and domain expertise.
Krakow Office
The office based in Krakow is hoped to accelerate growth and drive innovation in product development across the group since it will operate closely with other SG Digital’s product development centres in Europe.
This centre is a great addition to already existing centres in London, Stockholm and Athens. This fourth development hub definitely demonstrates SG Digital’s commitment to product development and will complement the existing operations. All four locations will be directly aligned and form a great asset for the SG Digital business unit.
Discussing the launch of the new centre, Mat Davey, who won GGA for Chief Executive of the Year in London last week, said that quality assurance, core software development and product innovation will be the key areas of the new centre.
“The advanced hubs are staffed by leaders in their fields and provide the platform to ensure that SG Digital remains at the forefront of technology in the digital gaming, lottery and sports industry.”

The company has recently acquired Canadian online gambling technology provider NYX for $775 million.
