SG Digital Signs Groundbreaking Svenska Spel Deal
Scientific Games Corporation has recently announced that SG Digital has incorporated into its system the division’s Open Gaming System (OGS) and a Player Account Management solution via the Open Platform System (OPS) in order to administer content through them.
OGS & OPS in a Nutshell
SG Digital is also to make a solid offer to Svenska Spell in the form of its very platform technology and a lobby of over 2,000 incredible titles, all coming from the company’s nine game studios and third-party providers. What OGS does it enable clients to access a colossal library of gaming content, whereas OPS allows one-wallet access and top notch loyalty programmes. SG Digital will also cater for hosting and integration services to further back up Svenska Spel.

An Offer They Can’t Refuse
In addition to all the casino content and technology support, SG Digital will accommodate some of Svenska Spel’s existing game verticals into the OPS. Some of those include sports betting, bingo and poker.
Fredrik Wastenson, Vice President Products at Svenska Spel, has announced, “A thorough search was undertaken in the choice of supplier, and we are confident that SG Digital will deliver a good solution.”
In the spirit of getting ready for new victories, Wastenson has added, “We are preparing Svenska Spel for the new gambling market, which is expected to come into force on 1 January 2019. This procurement is part of the preparations for the non-captive market.”
The Legal Side
As the deal is pending approval from the Swedish Gambling Authority, the Swedish government has recently highlighted that the country’s current regulations will be replaced by those that allow the country’s betting market to deal with overseas operators by 2019.
