William Hill Continues US Sports Betting Market Expansion
Golden Entertainment Inc. has expanded its relationship with sportsbook operator William Hill to allow it to manage the company’s race and sports operations in Nevada, Maryland and Montana.

Improved Partnership
Under the terms of Golden Entertainment original deal with William Hill, the sportsbook operator already controls the race and sports book at Pahrump Nugget Hotel & Gambling Hall as well as 80 deposit kiosks across Nevada.
Following the expansion of the partnership, William Hill is to take charge of wagering operations at the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower, Arizona Charlie’s Decatur and Arizona Charlie’s Boulder in Las Vegas, as well as the Aquarius Casino Resort in Laughlin, Nevada. The acquisition of these venues is expected to be finished in the first quarter of 2019 and by them more than 100 deposit kiosks will be located in Golden Entertainment’s wholly-owned locations in Nevada.
William Hill US chief executive Joe Asher said that his company has had an “excellent” relationship with Golden Entertainment since entering the US market.
“We look forward to continuing it for many years to come in Nevada and elsewhere as opportunities arise.”
Expanding the Reach Beyond Nevada
The new deal extends beyond Nevada’s borders into Montana and Maryland but it seems they are not in the rush to launch full sports betting operation soon.
William Hill will continue to chase the opportunities in these countries and for now operates distributed gaming at 300 locations in Montana and owns Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Maryland.
This long-term agreement between the leading bookmaker in America and Golden Entertainment puts an exclamation mark on William Hills’s strategy for US sports betting dominance. In recent news, William Hill joined forces with IGT to offer US lotteries a full service solution for sports betting and also landed a breakthrough deal with Las Vegas NHL team, Golden Knights.
