Blackjack Switch provides a two-hand gaming opportunity that offers a regular game but includes the option to switch the top card of each hand, giving players the chance to create the best possible hand before challenging the dealer.
Blackjack Switch offers an entirely different gaming experience compared to standard Blackjack, even though most of the game rules remain the same. The modern card game appears in the Playtech virtual table games library, who includes the usual high-definition graphics and animations. The developer provides multiple betting options along with standard game rules visible at all times on the black-cloth table.
Blackjack Switch takes some getting used to and requires a basic knowledge of Blackjack and the game rules as this provides an advantage when it comes to considering the switch option throughout each round.
The game still provides the standard selection of Blackjack options, including double down, hit, and stand. However, since the switch option works only with two hands, the game doesn’t provide a split feature. The game requires the dealer to hit on soft 17, tilting the house edge to just over 0.5%.
SHOW MORESHOW MORESHOW LESSOn your screen, Blackjack Switch provides a standard table with two betting circles that are surrounded by all the regular Blackjack rules and features. The wooden frame around the table holds the betting options with various chip values along with game options that change when a round is underway.
To start a round, place a bet of equal value in both circles, and press deal. The virtual dealer provides 2 cards per has as per usual, along with a face-up and face-down card for the house.
The cards featured at the top of the hand can be switched between the player hands. Therefore, the hand value can be changed at any time in a way that benefits both the hand values. Players can still include new cards by pressing hit on either hand, starting with the hand to the right as with most variants of multi-hand Blackjack.
Playtech includes an additional side bet option that includes a Poke-type table for additional rewards. The payouts are shown to the left of the game hands, including winnings up to 40 to 1 when all the cards consist of the same value. There are four possible rewards with the side bet, starting from a pair paying 1:1, 3 of a kind paying 5:1, 2 pair pays 8:1, and the 4 of a kind will pay 40:1.
The rest of the table delivers a standard Blackjack layout along with game rules and the cards. Players can choose a different design for the cards, changing those in the shoot, the playing cards, and the used deck. Other game features appear at the bottom of the screen where specific game options are displayed.
As mentioned, Blackjack Switch better suits players who’ve gained experience with regular Blackjack. If you’re a new player and want to try the game, start small and get used to the various features available.
Once you’ve gotten the hang of Blackjack Switch, you’ll find the added feature comes with a great selection of advantages. From personal experience, you’ll start using the switch feature more often than not, and when you play a regular Blackjack game, you might just find yourself missing the option.
