Buildin’ More Bucks has a solid set of boosters, starting with a fun Wheel spin that can lead to prizes or 3 kinds of Respins each dedicated to a titular character. Let’s see the full set of boosters.
Spin the Wheel
Landing 1 or 2 Hard Hat scatter symbols can randomly trigger the first tier of the Wheel feature. The Wheel is above the reels. From the first Wheel spin, players can win as possible prizes the Woody Elf Spins, the 10x Mini Prize, the 20x Minor Prize, or direct pass to the second Wheel tier.
When the Wheel is upgraded, the prize pool expands too. The second tier offers as prizes the 50x Major prize, the 100x Grand prize, the 500x Ultra prize, Grout Bricky Spins, or Fairy Mary Spins. What you win is immediately awarded to you.
Character Respins
When a character feature is triggered from the Wheel, the Hard Hat scatters that activated it build frames matching the character’s building material before the respins begin. As you know, each character has a corresponding building material. So, this is the foundation for the feature.
When the feature starts, you get 6 Respins (it’s the same for all 3, and there are no retriggers). During these Respins, any Hard Hat scatters that land transform into the character’s specific frame type.
Woody Elf creates wooden frames, Grout Bricky produces brick frames, and Fairy Mary generates gold frames.
Frames can be upgraded when the grid fills with the character’s frames. Wood upgrades to brick, and brick upgrades to gold. If the reels are filled with gold frames and a Hard Hat lands, you instantly get a 100x prize.
However, it’s not possible to trigger Magic Spins during character respins.
Magic Spins
Landing 3 or more Hard Hat scatters in the base game triggers Magic Spins.
This is the game’s main bonus round, despite Respins. The number of Scatters determines the starting frame quality: 3 Scatters award 3 wooden frames, 4 grant 4 brick frames, and 5 provide 5 gold frames. Players receive 6 initial Magic Spins.
Unlike Respins, it’s possible to retrigger the feature. You just need to land 3 or more Hard Hat Scatters to spin the Wheel. The Wheel awards +1, +3, or +5 additional spins. You can get up to 80 Magic Spins in total.
The frame progression system is active during Free Spins too.
For example, when a Hard Hat lands, it places a wooden frame in its position. If a Hard Hat lands on a wooden frame, it upgrades to brick. And so on. But if a Hard Hat lands on a gold frame, it moves to create a new wooden frame or upgrades the lowest frame type if you don’t have any empty spaces left.
At the end of the round, all frames transform into buildings and reveal instant prizes. Wooden Houses pay 2x to 5x, Brick Houses award 6x to 12.5x, and Gold Castles deliver the top prizes of 15x to 25x the bet.

The lush woodland backdrop looks stunning, and is green enough to remind us of Irish lore that surround leprechauns. We loved every detail and element, especially the game symbols (the characters).
The symbol set includes a construction-themed collection: J-A card royals as low-paying symbols, while premium symbols feature a tape measure, paint bucket, and the three main characters – Woody Elf, Grout Bricky, and Fairy Mary. Wild symbols appear on the grid too.
Our Experience Playing Buildin’ More Bucks
Buildin’ More Bucks is a sequel, which means it had a task to build on the success its predecessor established. It did have a head start in a way, because the previous game was indeed quite popular.
In the end, the game turned out to be quite similar to the debut, maybe even too much. The game’s biggest limitation is the sense of familiarity and repetition. Honestly, if you played Buildin’ Bucks, you’ll find yourself seeing almost identical patterns here – the building loop, frame upgrades, and character mechanics all feel like variations on a theme you’ve already experienced.
The Spin the Wheel feature with its two-tier system adds some variety to the base game, to be frank. We also appreciated the mechanics that tease better rewards. The three character Respins are a fun way to add excitement, though the fact that they are limited for 6 spins is not that fun.
The 7,500x max win potential looks respectable on paper, but experienced Play’n GO players know the studio’s slots rarely deliver wins anywhere near maximum exposure. Which means, yes, technically you can win a lot, but that does not mean you will.
All in all, a charming game, with a lot of potential on paper, but still has to prove itself as a worthy successor of Buildin’ Bucks.
