HOW TO PLAY Dragon & Phoenix?

Betsoft is an expert in design, that much is certain. Because we know that the game belongs to this provider, we had high expectations for the visual experience in this game. And truth be told, we were not disappointed in any way! Right from the start, it is obvious Betsoft wanted us to focus more on the action happening on the reels. That is why the background that shows a temple is saturated with colours that fade behind the grid. The positive atmosphere was triggered with the visuals, but the soundtrack is there to round it off. If you listen to the smooth melody long enough, you will start imagining you’re somewhere in China.

The icons on the reels are a collection of famous Asian symbols and relics. A dragon’s claw holding a pearl, gold, a pair of 8s, a phoenix, temple, and dragons – all embellished with gold! They form the higher-value suite of symbols, while card royals have, as usual, lower values. The dragon is the most sought-after symbol in the game as it pays out 500x your stake for 5 instances on a single payline.

The game pays left to right. When it comes to the rules, there’s nothing new. Your only task is to try to collect 3 identical tiles on any of the 20 offered paylines. Oh, and as this is a Betsoft title, after each win you are offered an option to gamble your winnings. You can double it or lose everything – it’s up to you! That option is placed right next to the Spin button below the reels.

GAME FEATURES

Admittedly, Dragon & Phoenix doesn’t boast many super features, but instead you get only two. Maybe more features would provide a greater adventure, but for now, they are more than enough.

  • Expanding Wilds – the Empress and Emperor together make the Wild. As all Wilds, it substitutes for other symbols on the reels. It also expands on the grid to cover an entire reel where it was originally positioned. This way, you get more chances for a big win. Bear in mind that the Wild doesn’t appear on the first reel.
  • Free Spins – The main attraction in this game is the Free Spins feature. To open this feature, you will require three Scatters. What’s interesting about this feature is the presence of Scatter Cascade. Every time you land three Scatters, you will notice their disappearance from the grid. They are replaced by new icons that fall from above, and if you notice new Scatters – congrats! You have acquired more spins. One Scatter equals one Spin. The feature can be retriggered numerous times, so you essentially never know how long the feature will last. Scatters also pay. If you obtain max 15 Scatters, you win 100 coins.
