Hot Tuna is a frustratingly mixed bag that highlights both Reel Kingdom’s expertise with fishing slots and the studio’s tendency to play it safe with established formulas. We have to say: I love what Reel Kingdom can technically do with games, but I don’t really love the fact that they did not do that in this release. Let me elaborate.
The game is quite refreshing in terms of theme. Even the elements are solid. You get a fishing game with great potential. However, the game’s features are too ambitious, ultimately failing to provide realistic results that carry profits to the players.
And that’s why we are less than thrilled with the game. However, giving where credit’s due, we say that this is a solid game with a cool potential that could still have fans (especially those who enjoy this type of theme).
The game’s main bright spot for us was the max exposure. Simply put, you are more likelyt o hit here than in any Big Bass video slot. However, the fact that the maximum is kept firmly at 2,500x means that high rollers might decide to skip Hot Tuna and go directly to a game with better payouts. And we can’t say we would blame them.
