Robin Hood is an extremely popular character in the entertainment industry and there will hardly be a more suitable casino software developer than Arrow’s Edge to produce a slot in honour of this beloved hero. As a result, this 5 reel and 40 payline slot is perhaps the best homage Robin could get in a slot game – with 4 special features and a progressive jackpot!
Even though this video slot game might appear outdated compared to the high-quality, top-notch production games we see these days, it will firmly stand its ground against any product you try to measure it up with. Arrow’s Edge should be applauded for creating an action-packed game that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout.
We are exactly sure when this game was first published as Arrow’s Edge are keeping a low profile on details and additional info. This game looks like lots of fun. And it actually is pretty entertaining. Arrow’s Edge put some work into the details and we can report that this is a product with classic 3D graphics, without eye-catching cinematic and high-def elements. However, it’s got nice details to it and a neatly crafted symbols which definitely deserve our attention.
Robin and his arrow are the most valuable symbol in there. Furthermore, you get a nasty looking soldier, one of Sheriff of Nottingham’s faithfuls. Additionally, we get a wooden chest with diamonds shining through, a bag filled with coins and a set of playing card suits, all created to resemble the wooden targets. Moreover, there is a regular, one-tile Wild symbol. However, you can also get 4-tile high stacked Wilds. These can also appear carrying a 2x multiplier which only adds to the excitement level in this game.
Think that’s it with the symbols? Wrong! A bow and arrows will also appear in this game, together with a locked valut and Robin’s honey – Maid Marian. She is acting as a Scatter, triggering free games. However, we’ll get to that part in a bit.
This game is played on 40 lines, where wins are multiplied by the amount staked per payline. Arrow’s Edge made sure Robin Hood is a proper people’s game and have, therefore, fitted it with a wide betting range. The lowest you can wager is €0.80, while the bets can go up to €240. The game also comes with an AutoPlay option, so you can ultimately sit back and enjoy the action.
Arrow’s Edge wil fire you away straight into Sherwood Forest where you end up getting tangled in all sorts of adventures. All of these aim to bring coins to fill your pockets with. You will be breaking vaults and having a target practice, among other things.
Locked Vault Feature – a locked vault symbol on the third reel, surrounded by arrow symbols on either side will push the reel greed further in the distance. This is a neat visual detail which will also have a bow shoot an arrow towards the lock. The chains will break and doors will open to reveal a prize.
Bullseye Feature – Contrary to the previous feature, this one is all about the arrows. You need to land 2 of them on the first and the last reel(s), without a vault in sight. Once this happens, the reels will slide backwards and the bow will automatically shoot 3 arrows. Each of them will hit a different symbol, making them sticky for three re-spins.
Love and Arrows Free Spins Feature (Two Modes) – Maid Marien is playing a lead role here. Three of those symbols on the reels will give you two hearts to choose from. Each of these hearts has its own unique free spins game:
Target Feature – During both of those Free Spins modes, a golden arrow can appear on the bow. This one will not be accounting towards the free spins, but will instead shoot towards a target to give you the Mini, Minor or Major Prize.
Progressive Jackpot – the three prizes we mentioned above are not to be mistaken for a progressive jackpot. They are complete different, appearing at random on any spin. There are two different jackpots to be won – Cash Grab jackpot and the Mystery Jackpot.
Arrow’s Edge put a lot of work and effort into creating an amazing homage for one of our favourite heroes. Robin in the Woods is a slot game Robin’s fans deserve to enjoy in. Five reels and 40 paylines hide an action-packed gameplay, filled with rewards of all sorts.
