Lightning Storm, Evolution’s Lightning game show, is the latest live dealer game show to join Evolution’s portfolio and grace it with Lightning Multipliers. This one promises to be the biggest and best – and with 5 bonus rounds, it is certainly the most promising game by Evolution so far. Lightning Storm live is a money wheel game using a 39-segment DigiWheel. The optimal RTP rate is 97.44%, while variance runs high. Payouts can reach up to 20,000x.
However, payouts solely rely on the Multipliers in said bonus games. There are five of them – Battery Charge, Fireball, Hot Spot, Monster Mash, and Lightning Storm. There’s also an option to wager on Storm Chaser and X Chaser options, which boost your winning chances further. The most important round is certainly the Lightning Storm as it has the highest payout (20,000x). Players bet on the wheel spin, which can either bestow cash prizes or entrances to bonus rounds.
To play Lightning Storm, players need to prepare bets that fit the $0.10-$10,000 betting range. The game has extremely high potential, but that might not mean much as it’s very volatile. You can play the game in real money mode only, and only at licenced and reputable online casinos that work with Evolution. Read on to learn more about the crazy Lightning game show.
SHOW MORESHOW MORESHOW LESSThematically, Lightning Storm is set in the Frankenstein’s world. The theme of creating monsters and doing experiments is visible in every part of the game, from the base game wheel spin to the bonus rounds.
At the start of the game, you first see a giant money wheel from DigiWheel that contains 39 segments. Each segment is numbered, so during the betting phase, you only set a bet and place it on a numbered segment that you want. You can wager on multiple segments, too. Now, once the spin starts for the wheel, 20 Bonus Symbols will automatically be assigned to random segments on the wheel. These Bonus Symbols represent Multipliers and Bonus Rounds. There are also Lightning Multipliers, which can be applied to random segments as well (even those that have a Bonus symbol assigned).
During the betting phase, you can place a bet on the segments, as well as the Storm Chaser and X Chaser. These two bets will help you get even more benefits once the Bonus symbols and Lightning Multipliers are unveiled. We’ll talk more about this in the next section.
Now, the game has an optimal RTP of 97.44%, which is paired with high variance. Bets start at $0.10 and go up to $10,000 per round. When it comes to payouts, a Leaf pays 1:1, which is a segment without any Multipliers or Bonus symbols. In other words, regular segments. Bonus symbols take you to special bonus rounds, each with their own Multipliers and payouts. The Storm Chaser payouts are capped at $500,000 and they lead you to a guaranteed spot in the Lightning Storm Bonus round.
There are five bonus rounds in this game: Hot Spot, Monster Mash, Battery Charger, Fireball, and Lightning Storm.
Placing a bet on the Storm Chaser places a chip on the bet on the UI before the start of the Lightning Round (when the Bonus Symbols and Multipliers) are unveiled. If the Lightning Storm Bonus round is won, you are guaranteed to participate. Otherwise, you can only watch the Bonus round play out.
X Chaser guarantees you will cover all bets that have received a randomly assigned Bonus symbol and/or Multiplier once the wheel spins.
This Bonus round features a 3-reel machine which spins with horizontal reels. These reels are trying to match a monster’s body made up of three body parts – head, torso, and legs. Each body part carries a Multiplier (either Regular or Global), and the goal is to match the highest possible Multiplier. Once the game spin ends, the Multipliers from each body part are added to the tally to produce a grand total Multiplier. This Multiplier can go up to 10,000x the stake.
This Bonus Round features 149 pockets lined on the floor, and a ball is thrown from above to land into the pockets. Pockets can either be Regular or Double. If the ball lands in a Regular pocket, you get that payout and end the round. However, if you land in a Double, the value of the Multipliers on the floor double for all Regular Multipliers and the ball is launched again. This can go on until you get a max Multiplier of 10,000x. You get the payout once the ball lands in a Regular Multiplier.
The Hot Spot bonus round features a wall of multipliers that are all hidden. They are arranged by value, creating a Hot Spot where all the highest ones are clustered together. Your task is to pick one from the grid that you thing contains the highest Multiplier. Then a 3×3 area appears on the grid and travels around the wall. It then stops, and the values on which it stopped are revealed. If it stops over the area you’ve chosen, you get the payout as it doubles it, and the Multiplier can be up to 10,000x.
In this feature, you have a conveyor belt of Batteries that travel towards the battery charger. There are 10 batteries, 9 with regular and 1 with a global multiplier that doubles the values of all the remaining batteries. A mini wheel spins to reveal either a red or green outcome. Red means the battery that’s before the charger overcharges and explodes before it makes it to the charger. Green means you get the Multiplier (if Regular), while a Global Multiplier on the battery that has a green signal from the wheel doubles the values of all remaining batteries on the conveyor belt. You can win up to 10,000x with this game.
This is the main game feature. It features a giant billboard with a grid of Multipliers – 8 Regular and 3 Global. Lightning strikes three times here. You pick one lightning strike from the possible three, and the multiplier associated with that strike is applied to your payout. The strike then hits multiple Multipliers on the grid, whose values are added together and paid out to you. You win the total amount at the end of the round. The maximum payout in this bonus round is 20,000x which is the highest in the entire game.
Step aside Crazy Time, we’ve got a new crazy live game show in town. Lightning Storm, marketed as Evolution’s biggest and baddest live game show, is a money wheel type of game with Lightning Multipliers and 5 different bonus rounds.
The game lets players win a hefty sum, but the road to there is long and not easy to endure. In any case, your winning chances are high, but not for the highest of prizes – these come seldom. Still, it’s very fun and engaging, even though the bonus rounds may seem complicated at first (and they are, but you don’t really have to do much except observe).
