The leading content provider Gaming Innovation Group Inc, better known as GiG, appointed Chris Armes as the new chief information officer (CIO) in a move to strengthen its tech leadership team.
Armes’ primary job will be the development of the company’s technology strategy and he will work directly under the chief executive (CEO) Robin Reed.
In his statement upon the announcement, Armes said that he believes that this is the right opportunity for real innovation in a dynamic industry. Leveraging new technologies and helping GiG to make a leap forward ahead of the competition are his main goals which he looks forward to very eagerly.
Prior to his commitment to GiG, Armes performed the duties of chief technology officer at SG Digital, where he came straight from Oracle where he had been employed as vice president of engineering and systems for over 7 years.
However, Armes is not the only addition to the team. As Robin Reed announced, GiG also welcomed several more members that will work closely with Armes in pushing the boundaries and overcoming challenges posed by the ever-evolving industry of gaming.
The new members are Jonathan Gauci who will serve as senior vice president of technology,Stephen Borg as director of data, and Jan Flores as the new director of production operations. As Robin Reed explained:” GiG’s vision is to make iGaming fair and fun for all. We want to do this by being the platform of choice for iGaming. To build the most flexible, efficient and scalable product we need to have the very best tech management team.”
Considering that Chris has a lot of experience in the industry from working at prestigious companies such as Sun, Oracle, and Scientific Games, there is no doubt progress is in the cards for GiG. Each member brings a fresh perspective into the team, which is exactly what GiG needs to get to the top of the industry and stay there.
