LeoVegas Introduces Chief Compliance & Legal Officer Role
Aiming to add a further layer of strength to its organization core, LeoVegas is putting a special highlight on the area of compliance and legal affairs by introducing a new role to the group management – Chief Compliance & Legal Officer.
“In a phase in which the industry is maturing and focus on compliance is rising, at the same time that our regulated revenue is growing sharply, the timing is now right to put a CCLO role in place.”, LeoVegas Group CEO Gustaf Hagman commented.
CCLO – Chief Compliance & Legal Officer
LeoVegas has already begun the recruitment process for a person to act as the company’s new CCLO role which will be awarded a seat in Group Management.
The CCLO role will include different aspects of legal affairs and compliance responsibilities such as nurturing relationships with authorities and licensors, developing and managing daily affairs within the area to maintain the highest levels of compliance.
LeoVegas has put a strong focus on compliance and training throughout the organization has already started.
“Our focus on compliance is a prerequisite for us in our work on reaching our financial targets for 2020 and thereby achieving sustainable and long-term strong growth,” Gustaf Hagman added.
Interim Solution
Attorney Anders Fast has been appointed the interim CCLO until the position has been permanently filled. Currently a managing Partner at the law firm Baker McKenzie Stockholm office, Anders Fast is arriving as a secondment with nearly 20 years of experience in the legal department.
“I am very happy that Anders will take on the CCLO role until we have found the right person long term. Anders has served as a legal adviser to LeoVegas since the start and knows the industry inside and out, which gives him a head start.”, Hagman concluded.
