Playtech Unveils Native-First Product Line Ahead of App Store Changes
The eminent provider Playtech has just revealed its brand-new native-first product line which is developed before the changes in Apple’s App Store come into effect. The omnichannel organization said that it is prepared to support its operators that are preparing for the new guidelines.
The New Era
Apple announced that it is planning to update its 4.7 clause in its guidelines. This means that, from now on, it will include real money gambling, lottery, charitable donations, and digital commerce apps.
The new guideline will come into effect on September 3rd, with “HTML5 games distributed in the app may not provide access to real money gaming and lotteries” specifically highlighting that games must be included in the binary.
That is why a host of providers are updating their games to be iOS native so that they could avoid the risk of being eliminated from Apple’s App Store come September 3rd.
Playtech Is Not Playing
The product line that Playtech released includes a portfolio of native gaming content and compiled games, so its customers, thanks to the software development kit, will be able to develop native apps that are fully iOS compatible.
The app also encompasses all back-end services that were previously offered to operators, along with the integration with the provider’s engagement 360 platform, compatibility with third-party gamification tools and the BetBuddy responsible gaming platform.
Playtech has been offering players a native casino app for the past 3 years, but these changes to the guidelines have brought about a noticeable spike of interest of players in native products ever since they were announced back in June.
The CTO of Playtech Games Innovation Labs, Peter Mares released a statement following the release of the product line where he said: “These changes have created yet another Apple-shaped hoop for operators to jump through.
