William Hill Elects Sharon Otterman as New US Marketing Lead
The world’s biggest sportsbook and betting group William Hill has recently elected a new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). The name is Sharon Otterman, she is a media pro, and she will be operating in the firm’s US division.
About Otterman’s Background
Otterman’s election has just been confirmed as she had joined William Hill US senior leadership as a seasoned media executive. She came to the FTSE-listed betting family from The Madison Square Garden Company, where she used to be the Executive Vice President for Marketing, leading the digital strategies of MSG venues and their associated teams.
Before The Madison Square Garden affiliation, Otterman has worked for several other companies in the related field. From 2003 to 2009 she held a leadership position at ESPN Sports (Vice President of Digital Strategy), after which she moved on to work for NBC News until 2015.
As the new leading woman of the William Hill US marketing team, Sharon Otterman will be tasked with establishing the betting company’s initial US marketing strategy including media planning, agency and stakeholder management. As the ex MDS employee and with such copious experience, Otterman is believed to bring great improvement to William Hill. She will be taking complete charge over William Hill US marketing leadership.
