Lightning Dragon Tiger Live is the upcoming live dealer game getting a Lightning facelift by Evolution. It’s among the two Lightning live games to be released in 2024 with Lightning Storm that’s (probably) coming in the summer. When it comes to this table, it’s a standard procedure. We have a classic Dragon Tiger table getting an update in the form of Multipliers. The “Lightning” part comes in the shape of 13 Lightning Cards carrying Multipliers that can appear during the rounds.

The game consists of three phases – the betting phase, the Lightning phase, and then the main part of the game where the cards are dealt. However, the goal of the game stayed the same. Depending on the hand you wager on, you can win from 8x to 1280x the stake, which is the game’s maximum. However, Evolution placed a winning cap at €500,000, so no matter the stake, that’s the most you can win here.

The game has a very high RTP rate of 96.99%, which is great for a Dragon Tiger table. However, the only downside is the 20% fee you get with every single bet. Lightning Dragon Tiger is the upcoming Dragon Tiger live dealer game featuring Lightning Multipliers. It’s the latest live dealer table to get the Lightning treatment, and is the second Lightning game to come out in 2024. Lightning Dragon Tiger, alongside Lightning Storm, was announced at ICE London in February 2024, but neither got an official release date.

This is standard Dragon Tiger game with a couple of fancy Multipliers. The game has a maximum multiplier potential of 1280x the stake, which is considerably higher than in the base game. The goal f the game is to guess which one of the two hands (Dragon and Tiger) is going to be higher. A single card is dealt per hand, and the values are assigned to their face values.

Moreover, Lightning Dragon Tiger is played with 8 decks of 52-card decks excluding Jokers.

Now, let’s talk about gameplay.

At the start of every round, players kick off with the betting phase. During this phase, players can place a bet on four options – Dragon, Tiger, Tie, or Suited Tie. The minimum possible bet is €1, while the highest is €5,000,but please bear in mind that the game applies a 20% fee on every bet because of the Lightning multipliers. This is standard procedure for all Lightning games.

Once you’ve placed the wager, the game will kick off the Lightning round (explained better below) after which the dealer will deal the cards. As soon as the outcome is revealed, all payouts are paid out, and you can begin preparing for the next round.

Finally, the game has high variance and a high RTP of 96.99%. Even though we are not sure when will you get the opportunity to play the game, we do know it’s going to be during 2024 (probably summer).

GAME FEATURES

The main thing that we can talk about when we speak of Lightning Dragon Tiger features is the Lightning round. It’s the core of the game, after all.

But first, here is the full paytable for Lightning Dragon Tiger.

Suited Tie – 20-1280:1

So, once the betting phase ends and players have all placed their wagers, it’s time for the Lightning round. During this round, one specific card suit out of the four possible one is selected as the Lightning suit. In other words, all cards belonging to that suit will receive a Lightning Multiplier. The possible Multiplier that the suit (Spades, Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds) can receive is from 2x to 8x. Right away, the suit and the multiplier will be highlighted and displayed on-screen for you to see it clearly during the round.

Once the Lightning Round ends, the croupier will deal the cards to Dragon and Tiger hands. If you wagered on a hand and it results in a winning hand – and it is also a Lightning Card – you will receive your multiplier. If you wagered on Tie or even better, on the Suited Tie, you will get the payout multiplied accordingly.

Lightning Dragon Tiger is the Lightning version of the Asian card game. It’s quite similar to baccarat and Andar Bahar as there are two sides – Dragon and Tiger – and players wager on the side that is going to win. Dragon Tiger is a Cambodian game appealing to all Asian players, and Evolution decided to upgrade its Dragon Tiger table with a fantastic Lightning version of the game.

We do not know right now when is it that you are going to get the game, but we do know that it is probably coming in the summer. Another Lightning game we expect to see this year is Lightning Storm, so keep your eyes peeled for that one as well.
