Treasure Island is Pragmatic Play’s latest and greatest expansion to their rapidly growing live casino offer. It takes you on a swashbuckling adventure in search of the Treasure Island, inspired by the tales of Robert Louis Stevenson. With impeccable graphics, fun studio design, and top-notch presentation, the game is certainly eye-catching. Scratch beneath the surface, though, and you’ll find a well-designed game with strong RTP, huge potential payouts, and no less than 6 bonus rounds!
In many ways, Treasure Island builds on ideas first introduced in Sweet Bonanza Candyland. This time around, there are even more bonus rounds and special features, higher payouts going up to 15,450x, and a higher RTP rate at 96.54%. More importantly, the RTP is consistent across most bets, including bonus rounds. That means that you can enjoy fun, creative mini-games without fear of reduced RTP.
Much like all entertainment-style game shows, it is highly volatile as well. Treasure Island casino game basically has no fixed payouts, which means prizes for the same bet can be higher or lower depending on how lucky you are. In this Pragmatic PlayTreasure Island review, we’ll walk you through the full game and all of its features, and offer our opinion on what the experience of playing it is like.
SHOW MORESHOW MORESHOW LESSPragmatic Play Treasure Island features a large wheel with 64 segments that is used for gameplay. In each round, the presenter spins the wheel and the flapper, located at the top of the wheel, lands on one of the segments. This outcome determines the result of the round.
Players place their bets on which segment they believe will be the outcome during a 15-second betting period before every round. There are 9 betting positions in total- three main bets and 6 bonus rounds.
The three main bets in the game are known as Gems. These Gems are represented by different colours – green, yellow, and red. These bets are considered to be the simplest in the game. If the flapper stops on a segment that matches the colour of your bet, you win. However, the payouts for each of these bets are determined randomly once the betting period comes to an end. Yellow gems pay the least with 1-10x but appear on most segments, which means they’re the most likely to win. Red gems pay 3-50x but only appear on 8 segments. Greens are somewhere in between with 1-20x.
Additionally, some segments combine two gems. Combinations of same-coloured gems double the base multiplier, while mixed combinations mean that more than one main bet wins.
There are 6 bonus rounds in Treasure Island by Pragmatic Play. They kick off if the flapper lands on the corresponding segments. Only players who placed the right bets beforehand get to participate. Bonus rounds appear on relatively few segments, but can offer massive payouts.
On its own, the wheel game of Treasure Island is slightly different than most. The fact that all prizes have a range of options makes things more exciting, albeit more volatile.
However, games like these are carried on the performance of their bonus rounds. Thankfully, Pragmatic didn’t pull any punches in that department. Although not all of the bonus rounds are equally interesting, some of them are fairly unique for the genre.
On top of all that, the game’s RTP consistently sits around 96.54% for all bets. That’s just the cherry on top of a fun, adventure-themed game that all fans of live casino game shows should try out.
