However, the payout potential of the game make it everything except simple. Namely, if you play Coins of Ra online for real money, you stand to gain up to 3,600x the stake. When you decide to pick up the Coins of Ra, expect to see lots of Coins. Coins appear in two shapes – the regular BONUS coins and the RA BONUS coins. You cannot have the one without the other, as both are needed to enter the Hold & Win feature. Once there, you’ll need the RA BONUS icons to collect prizes brought by BONUS coins. Coins of Ra is an Egyptian online slot by Betsoft. Players are given a chance to increase their riches by filling their coffers with Coin prizes or perhaps some of the four jackpots. The game plays out on a 3×3 grid with 5 fixed paylines. That means that you have 5 ways to score a win on the grid but that is quite tricky considering the game’s volatility is high.  Moreover, the game has a 96.18% RTP, which is a good rate for such a game. However, there are two other RTP variants (94.17% and 92.17%) and neither is considered favourable. In the base game we have a 31.07% hit frequency, and you have a 1 in 86 chance to hit the Hold & Win feature.

Now, when it comes to basic gameplay, we have a 3×3 grid filled with various icons. You have 9 regular paying icons, starting with 4 low-value icons paying from 0.20x to 1x. Next there’s a statue of Anubis, the Eye of Horus, a Pyramid, and the Scarab Beetle. These pay between 1.60x to 5x. Finally, Wilds pay 10x if you manage to land 3 on a payline.

The game starts with 0.20 wagers that can go up to 100 per spin (currency equivalent). Once you get to the Hold & Win feature, you’ll start noticing other icons which are primarily Coins. These are BONUS and RA BONUS icons that facilitate wins. The prizes you can win in the feature are either cash prizes or one of four jackpots.

The game is not a Buy Bonus game so don’t expect this option. You have to trigger the Hold & Win feature by landing enough Coins on the grid.

GAME FEATURES

Game features in Coins of Ra include Wilds and the Hold & Win feature. The main game feature, Hold & Win, starts with coins. You have two types of coins – the BONUS coins, and the RA BONUS coins. To get into the feature, you need 3 Coins – at least 1 must be a RA BONUS Coin.

Now, during the bonus round, your reels transform into a grid containing only coins. You get 3 Respins as 3 chances to grab additional Coins. Coins land either with prizes – ranging from 1x to 15x – or four jackpots. You can easily spot the jackpot coins as they carry the name of the jackpot and are in a specific colour corresponding the jackpot.

RA BONUS symbols are important as they collect the prizes. During the Respins, whenever they land, they lock and collect all prizes on the grid. Then the number of Respins is reset to 3. At the end of the round, all accumulated RA BONUS prizes are paid to the player.

Next we have the Chests of Gold, which are containing all the prizes. Coins landing on the grid in the base game and the bonus round can potentially open the chest of gold and reveal prizes by unlocking the bonus round.

Wilds can replace any icon on the grid at the moment. Please bear in mind that Wilds cannot replace BONUS and RA BONUS icons.

Lastly, the Hold & Win Bonus rounds end when Respins are reduced to 0. If you land any jackpot coin, you get the corresponding jackpot. There are three options – the Mini, worth 25x, Minor worth 50x, and Major worth 150x. There’s the Grand Prize as well worth 1000x.

Namely, the game relies on a Hold & Win game feature,  that’s aided by Chests of Gold and Wilds. There are no Free Spins but there’s no need for them as you have Respins.

If you want, you can play the game for free. However, if you decide to play for real money, the wagers start at $0.20 and go up to $100.
