The mighty developer of mainstream online casino solutions Microgaming has just debuted Roulette at Malta industry exhibition SiGMA, developed exclusively by Switch Studios, Microgaming’s latest collaborator.
After a few successful collaborations with gaming studios like Stormcraft Studios, Slingshot Studios and Fortune Factory Studios, Microgaming has partnered with Switch Studios to continue its outsourcing policy that is aimed towards introducing diversity and raise the product quality.
While the first three studios mainly focus on developing new slots for Microgaming, Switch Studios will focus on creating innovative table games.
Switch Studios is a new independent gaming studio that will develop content exclusively for Microgaming. Based in East Anglia in Ipswich, they are a group of online gaming and social gaming veterans, eager to turn standard games into something more.
Microgaming will use their expertise to create a new generation of table games with customizable components that deliver a tailor-made experience for a new level of play.
Roulette is the first of a full suite of table games that will be launched including Blackjack, which is expected to join Roulette in the upcoming months.
Microgaming Roulette represents a new take on a classic table game and features a realistic 3D roulette wheel, complete with accurate ball physics to ensure the realism of play. This new version of one of the most popular casino games comes with a brand new engine that offers players a range of features including betting on the standard layout, racetrack betting and other special bets.
Fans had a chance to take a closer look at this new version of Roulette at SiGMA, the exhibition at MFCC Malta taking place from 28 to 30 November. Microgaming will be showcasing its products at stand B156. Roulette will also be available on mobile phones both in portrait mode and landscape.
“Bringing Switch Studios into the fold ensures we have a dedicated resource for innovating and enhancing our table games offering,” Microgaming CEO John Coleman said, announcing the news.
“The team have already demonstrated a facility for producing stylish and sophisticated casino games that are highly original and entertaining and I am looking forward to developing this side of our range even further in the coming months.”
The head of Switch Studios, Tom David, echoed those sentiments saying:
“We believe our background in the mobile, social and eGaming sectors puts us in an excellent position to bring innovation and style to the online table gaming sector. Our objective is to deliver the best selection of classic table games that players enjoy.”
The collaboration between Microgaming and Switch Studios maks a new strategy aiming to disrupt the market with targeted content. It will also enable Microgaming to cooperate narrowly with operators to craft tailored games to satisfy the players’ needs.
