Avalanches are tumbles that happen on the grid every time you have a win. Winning icons are removed from the grid, and one Wild is added randomly onto the grid. The rest of the grid is then filled with icons from above. You get 1 Wild per Avalanche.

Wilds are great because they also increase Reel Multipliers. Each Wild adds a + 1x Multiplier to the reel on which it appeared. Every reel has a Reel Multiplier (the MultiMax mechanics) that is applied to the wins. To get a Reel Multiplier, you have to have a winning combo that includes at least 1 icon from that reel (any icon will do). If you trigger multiple Reel Multipliers, their values are multiplied together. Values of Reel Multipliers are never below 2x and have no cap.

Lastly, in the base game, Reel Multipliers reset on every spin. In Free Spins, they do not – and wins pay both ways! Actually, if you have a 5 OAK win, it pays left to right only, but all other wins pay both ways.
